With the clock firmly set to British Summer Time (even if the weather might suggest something different!) we’ve been turning our minds to planning for the warmer months. While the sun can sometimes be unpredictable in the UK, there’s one British tradition we love to embrace in the summer months, and that’s the garden party. On those occasions when the weather is on your side, there’s nothing nicer than heading outdoors on a balmy afternoon and enjoying a genteel spread of tea, cake, sandwiches and a glass or two of Pimms. So while summer might still seem a while off, this week we’re celebrating the great British Garden Party and sharing some of the ranges we think are made for this occasion.
If you’ve been limping through the winter you’ll no doubt be counting down the days until the first spring holiday of the year. With just a few weeks left until Easter, here at Neviti we can’t wait to kick back for a few days and – fingers crossed – enjoy some warm spring sunshine. This bank holiday is made for venturing outdoors, spending quality family time together and, of course, eating lots of chocolate and other delicious delights!
If you’re looking for activities to do with your little ones over the break, we have some exciting new craft products, ideal for sparking some creativity in the school holidays. Spend a morning preparing for the egg hunt with some DIY colour in egg baskets, perfect for collecting all those yummy eggs. Made from sturdy white card and illustrated with a selection of spring scenes to colour in, they’re an easy way to get creative and make something a little more unique than a shop-bought basket. The range also includes some colour-in bunting which children can add their own creative touches to. A well as colouring it in, you could customise your bunting with some extra sparkle using glitter or stick on gems…a lovely way to decorate your home this bank holiday weekend.
Have you seen our lovely ‘Fancy That’ range? With a quirky, vintage flavour reminiscent of the 1950s, this colourful collection makes the perfect backdrop if you’re planning a fun celebration for Mother’s Day. Taking place on 15th March this year, it’s always a nice opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to your mum, and although a card and a bunch of flowers is always an appreciated gesture, why not do something a little different this year? A surprise gathering doesn’t have to be a big scale party but getting the extended family together makes for a memorable event. Get everyone to contribute a small dish or a tub of cakes and you have the makings of a lovely afternoon, with great company and something delicious on the menu. Take a little care over your table settings and your gathering will really make her smile!
